Who We Are
Brooknelle Pet Resort,
formerly Brooknelle Kennels, first opened its doors in 1947, by Kenneth
Nelson. The Nelson family ran the boarding kennel, and bred and showed
Collies. After his retirement, his son Larry took over the operation of the
the kennel, and ran the establishment until his retirement in November of
2002. The facility was then purchased by Bruce Langlois DVM.
Many changes have taken place since Dr. Langlois has purchased the
business. The name was changed to Brooknelle Pet Resort to reflect these
many changes. Some of the changes include feeding premium Science Diet pet
foods, building 2 large play areas, offering special one on one time with
the resort guests, along with special treats in the evening. Brooknelle pet
resort now allows and encourages owners to bring bedding or toys from home,
to help the pets feel more comfortable.
